Chorus.fm Pokemon Draft League 2.0 Video Game

Hello!

Welcome all!

This is Version 2.0 of the Chorus.fm Pokémon Draft League

We will be using Pokémon Showdown (Pokémon Showdown! battle simulator) for team building and battling. You will not need to breed or own any of these Pokémon.

General League Rules:
- Teams will be made up of 10 Pokémon each, no repeats across or with teams
- Each team will have:
- Chorus.fm Tier List will be used: VIEW HERE, Message @JRShoenberger if you want to participate in creating the tier list
- Pokemon are pulled from current Gen 8 Meta - no legendaries or mythicals are used
- Single battles
- Battles will be 6 v. 6
- The six Pokémon can vary from battle to battle
- Pokemon builds and move sets may change between battles, but the team of 10 Pokémon must remain constant
- One Pokemon may Dynamax per battle, and this can change from battle to battle
- No G-Max Pokemon can be used
- Sleep Clause is in effect
- Baton Pass is banned
- Pokemon may have held items, but each Pokemon on the team must hold different items
- No evasiveness moves permitted


Draft rules
We will be using www.draft-league.nl to handle the draft and scheduling.
More details about the draft will be forthcoming.


Battles/League Schedules
- Two battles per week will be scheduled
- You and your opponent should set up date and time to do battles
- All scheduled battles should be completed before 11:59pm on Saturdays
- The new week starts on Sundays
- Winner/Loser must be posted in this thread after each battle
- Regular season details: TBA
- Championship bracket will be seeded using regular season records

If you are unable to carry through with your commitment, please try to find a replacement. If you make a good faith effort to find a replacement, but are unable to find one, all of your past and future matches will count as wins for your opponents.

If you "ghost" us and the league, you will not be permitted to participate in future draft leagues and will be effectively shunned by all league members on the greater Chorus.fm site. Rules are rules.

Still working on a new team name and trying to do anything that resembles a league logo. I had/have a rough idea but it looks like shit quality-wise

I am not good at this and probably will not be able to get it done (although I'm sure I'll have a name soon)

 

Actually for my team name I'll go with the Austin Pranksters

 

I’d like to change my name to the Napa Normies

 

If there are existing logos on the internet from people that used similar team names, can we use those or do they want ours to be original?

 

im sticking with my team name since it’s got a good reputation so far

 

If we can use previously made logos then I’ll be good as the Los Angeles Luxrays again.

I reached out to the guy in charge about the graphics stuff we’re having trouble with. I’ll see what he says.

 

He said they cannot be stolen from other teams since those teams probably paid for an artist to make them.

he said they don’t have to be anything fancy. I’ll see what I can come up with today or tomorrow. They won’t be fancy but they’ll be serviceable.

Yeah. Unless the website had made a bunch of basic ones up or something.

 

Are we gonna be setting up a Discord for organization's sake as well?

 

Yes. I believe that’s required through the website. I dint use discord much so I haven’t looked at that part yet.
