If I start a tier list document (I’m getting a little stir crazy at home with my kids....), should we just do it with the current Galar-dex? What do we think should be included? I’d rather keep mythicals/legendaries out. But I know there is now an expanded dex with Pokémon like Venusaur and Incineroar. Should we include them this time?
I think we should include the expanded dex for the next time, we probably would've this time if it wasn't so recently added in I'd also like to say that if we start ranking for tiers and stuff like that, I'd like for people to say "I don't know" if they don't know what tier to put something in, just cuz I don't want anyone to like make up shit about Pokemon they don't know haha. We'd probably need to figure out how it's gonna be weighed
*looks at Bulbasaur Funko pop on shelf next to bed* I would waste a first round draft pick for my true love and hate whoever took it before me.
1-12 = 10 pts 13-24 = 9 pts Etc. if there are 12 of us, we’d then all get one pick from each group of twelve all the way down?
I just messaged this to @JRShoenberger but shoulda probably just posted it here What would you think of this for a tiering scale? Voters assign each eligible Pokemon with a letter grade: S = 5 A = 4 B = 3 C = 2 D = 1 Don't know = do not count towards avg Add scores then divide by number of voters that did NOT say "don't know" 4.1 - 5 = S tier 3.1 - 4 = A tier 2.1 - 3 = B tier 1.1 - 2 = C tier 0 - 1 = D tier Each player gets 1 gigantimax Pokemon, 1 S tier Pokemon, 1 A tier, 3 B tier, 4 C tier or below (if we're not keeping the "only dynamax your gmax Pokemon" rule from last time maybe remove the gmax and include 1 more A tier) Also this might take a while so maybe we don't make it mandatory for everyone to do and choose a few to be involved in the tiering process?
i dont think i have the knowledge to do justice to any sort of tiering. id leave that to yall who have deeper competitive seasoning, i trust your judgment
also i start my degree program back up in May, get married in the fall, and start looking for a home next spring so idk how long these are gonna be viable for me but ill try to partake as often as my schedule permits and wont bail on a season if i commit to it
hahaha my bank account disagrees on any of this being fairy tale but it is def exciting as well as terrifying
Been discussing this with @JRShoenberger and would like to bring it to the people that'll be competing with us next year too We're discussing the current rule where each team gets 1 Gigantimax Pokemon and that's the only Pokemon they can dynamax Would you prefer: 1. We keep this rule 2. No Gigantimax Pokemon, you can dynamax ANY Pokemon 3. No Gigantimax Pokemon, you can dynamax NO Pokemon I'd like to move to 2 or 3 but don't have a strong difference of opinion between those two options
not trying to be a pain but i prefer 4. one Gigantamax Pokemon per team/season, and you can Dynamax ANY one Pokemon per game - however, if you Dynamax someone other than your Gigantamax, you can no longer use Gigantamax this game. one transformation per game for anyone on your team, basically.
I feel like me falling out of A1 and then ACTUALLY falling out with A1 caused me to miss so much of your life. But I’ve loved the beauty of it in my Instagram feed.
I don't like that just because I think the one gigantimax per team ends up hurting more than it helps teams, mainly because of how many gigantimax Pokemon would end up being like, C-D tiers without gigantimax and if you draft the right one you essentially get an extra S or A rank you wouldn't get otherwise. I feel like gigantimax ends up creating a pretty big imbalance
I like have a gmax Poke because I felt like it gave me a chance. But I definitely think I like it being any of the six to surprise your opponent.
yeah i def agree but i like the idea of being able to Dynamax any one of your choice per game without designating it ahead of time. im fine with losing Gigantamax entirely in service of that tbh.
