They only way you could enforce that is my giving one person all the info and that just gives that person an unfair advantage
There's just not a way to do it unless we vetted the teams before every match and that'd be insane IMO Since attack calcs do have RNG involved we wouldnt be able to tell if defensive points were shifted just from watching replays I don't like the idea and I think shifting stats and moves is part of the strategy
Maybe next season I could not play and just commission/enforce things, since I'm not good at singles but have enough Pokemon knowledge to run the show
I know but it'd also probably be easier to run things if you're not playing and vice versa haha especially if we get more advanced with it Plus I wanna stay good at doubles and not start slipping as I fill my brain with singles ideas
the teambuilding is one of my favorite aspects of this. locking teams would be too boring imo. and for others who mess their teams at the start, they wouldn’t have a second chance if we enforced that. also i am biased and will most likely have different setups for each opponent.
I'm not against changing stuff, I'm just lazy lol that's why I'm setting as many different teams as possible so I don't have to edit anything after my 5th loss in a row.
i would say just don’t think about stats too much. focus on coverage and defensive typing, then pick Pokemon that will give you trouble on the opposing team (whether being walled by it or swept by it) and setup counters for that
Showdown is good for noobs because it gives a suggested star spread based off the moves, and it is mostly good
@Jake W @PeacefulOrca when do you wanna battle? I'll be free evenings tonight/tomorrow after 8 or all day Saturday.
I'm generally happy with my team. I think it'll stand well. There's a few Pokemon I'm still trying to figure out how to use appropriately. I've been messing around with Eject Button Sandstream Rhypherior to set up Excadrill, which in theory should work, but it's not enough of a guarantee for it to be worth it.
