For whatever reasons, 2024 has been the year I've felt most aggravated to be out of the loop on the heavyweight popular music releases, as I seem to have found every single one, across a broad genre spectrum, to be aggressively uninteresting. Have not the slightest bit of energy to argue any of them with anyone though, so I just take it as an inherent fault on my part that must explain why the mediocre music everyone has been slathering over is not actually mediocre at all. Not creating any kind of ranking this year other than to say that this piece of catharsis is my favourite song of the year and seeing it live was my gig moment of the year.
