Made a too 100 this year with a few extras as honorable mentions. As the ranking goes down it becomes more of a “I like this album and just want to put it somewhere on the list” versus an actual orderly ranking. I feel like I’m the only one with Jade Bird’s album on the list, let alone at number one, but it really is such a great record, and definitely getting slept on by many people. Honorable mentions (in no order): Pip Blom - Welcome Break Pom Pom Squad - Death of a Cheerleader Lorde - Solar Power Taylor Swift - Red (Taylor's Version) Ducks Ltd. - Modern Fiction Max Gregor - Easy Nights Tricot - Jodeki Goat Girl - On All Fours Circuit Des Yeux - io Sophia Kennedy - Monsters Claire Rousay - A Softer Focus SeeYouSpaceCowboy - The Romance of Affliction Jimmy Montague - Casual Use Alien Boy - Don't Know What I Am Spirits Having Fun - Two Laura Stevenson - Laura Stevenson Casper Skulls - Knows No Kindness
Never listened to that Jetty Bones record because of their association and defense of Dylan from TMP. I’m guessing that’s why others have not listened as well.

I fucking slept hard on the Spirit Of The Beehive record. Don’t think it’d have been a particularly significant game changer on my list, but I very much fucked up by not hearing it earlier. I was even a fan of the old stuff, idk what happened here
Took me while but it’s definitely Dave’s album. I can’t knock the things he’s saying on the album, but somewhere in the process he forgot to make actual good songs to deliver the message. It’s a shame too because on his previous album he proved he can do that like few of his contemporaries can.

I’m shocked by the lack of mentions of ‘Downtiming’ by Camp Trash. I know it’s only an EP and it was released all the way back in January, but it is by far my most played release of the year. I played those songs into the dirt. Appreciate everyone posting their lists so I can find some new music!

These are basically the only new albums I listened to this year. Was a good year for new albums from favorite artists, but not so much for discovering new ones. Only new artist on here is Adjy, and they’re definitely barely on here lol. Gonna post my list soon. Snail Mail would’ve been in my top 5 if it weren’t for her horrid comments last week, and then the terrible response. Also while I Loved the latest War on Drugs I felt it was not as good as previous work.
