I don't think I'll change this, so might as well post it. I'll add the rest of a top 100 and a few EPs later. 1) Hippo Campus – Bambi The next great indie pop band in the vein of Bombay Bicycle Club and Vampire Weekend 2) Years & Years - Palo Santo It’s like Troye Sivan, but with more bops and less ballads 3) Rae Morris - Someone Out There One of the best storytellers in the electropop space 4) Family and Friends - Felix Culpa Complex, Local Natives-influenced indie folk/pop/rock 5) Tash Sultana - Flow State It’s kinda like if Duffy could shred and was also really good at a bunch of other instruments too 6) Novo Amor – Birthplace Bon Iver, Bon Iver 2.0 7) Foxing - Nearer My God If you’re on this site, you probably know this album. 8) Liza Anne - Fine But Dying Singer-songwriter versatile enough to open for both Paramore and Kacey Musgraves this year and not feel out of place on either bill 9) The 1975 - A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships See: Foxing 10) Darlingside - Extralife Indie-folk with gorgeous 4-part harmonies 11) Janelle Monae - Dirty Computer 12) Lucy Dacus - Historian 13) Jungle - For Ever 14) Jukebox the Ghost - Off To The Races 15) CHVRCHES - Love Is Dead 16) DJDS - Big Wave More Fire 17) Long Neck - Will This Do? 18) Shakey Graves - Can't Wake Up 19) Panic! shouldn't be. but for context these names came from records, an EP is supposed to fit on a 10 inch while an LP would fit on a 12 Inch.. that helps.. well zero amount but yea, basically I think most bands won't go over 7 songs on an EP where as an LP usually includes 8 plus tracks.
This is all silly so i guess i should just get to the point, which is that i wonder where people would put the boygenius EP or the mwy untitled EP in their actual lists
In 2018 I have definitely listened to EPs that are longer quite a few albums I listened to, it’s over
Love love love that album. Feels like something that’d take off here if she had the hype of some other artists
I use this thread as a catch-up for the year. Maybe I need to give Drug Church and Daughters a listen...
