Cool to see Man Mountain make a list. I've opened for those guys on two different occasions!

 

My biggest takeaway from looking at all these lists is that I really neglected hip hop this year. What are the best 3 or so releases that I should check out? Probably Earl right? I listened to the Vince album (or whatever) a few times and enjoyed that, but I have no idea what else came out this year.

A crazy amount of good music came out this year. I didn't even listen to a solid 1/5th of my Top 50 until I caught up on missed albums within the past month. The only big exclusions I'm not happy with are mewithoutyou and Snail Mail, but I just didn't have enough time to properly give those two the attention they deserve and I'm not trying to halfheartedly throw them in there somewhere.

 

Everyone's lists in the hip hop thread are really different so anyone who wants hip hop recs should look there

 

Any members out there that want rap recommendations and wanna be informed and don’t wanna have to worry about the group think being all in the threads, all on the lists, ranking, come to Death Ro.. I mean the hip hop thread *Suge Voice*
