That being said: Pusha T, Lucy Dacus, and Courtney Barnett all just barely missed the cut and could really pretty easily be swapped with some of the other ones on here.

Colter Wall continues to create music that makes me wish I were living on a ranch somewhere in Montana. He's quite the opposite of Steve Moakler, but both make music that captures a similar feeling...and if you don't know either of them, stop everything and get acquainted. Super American...who are these guys, where did they come from, and how did they make such a fun album?? And finally...We are witnessing one of the greatest bands to come out of this generation in The 1975. The new album is more of a grower for me than it seems to be for most...but there's no denying they're probably creating the most important music today.
