Yeah but Haim do it as a Prince/Daft Punk endless groove, where each repetition has subtle dynamic and arrangement shifts. "Honeysuckle" just does the chorus a lot. Haha

 

HAIM is filed under my "bands who should have just released an EP" list.

 

The comparison to Prince is way too generous for that Haim album.

 

Should have written songs instead of just writing choruses.

 

Found It in Silence is hands down one of the most grating uses of repetition I’ve ever heard. I loved the sound of it when it started but goddamn am I tired of them saying the title like halfway through it

 

This is exactly what I said about Taylor Swift’s new album.

 

Also true. But they did the opposite of HAIM. Most of Swift's songs had dope verses with weak choruses.

 

I didn’t think about that, but that’s pretty damn accurate.

 

This is the entire record for me. Every song does this, except for maybe “Nothing’s Wrong” which is hands down my favorite. “Little of Your Love” repeats the same phrase at least 25 times.

Went back to Rozwell Kid, Sorority Noise, and Emperor X the past couple days and liked all three of them more than I remember

 

Basically everything outside the top 2 (maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe 3) is potentially interchangeable and I can't be assed to think about this any longer, so as of this exact moment my ranking is as follows:

Oh, yeah, got it. IDK new RozKid isn't as good as Too Shabby, even though it has some of their best songs

 

both partner and charly bliss are better than rozwell but rozwell still slays

 

I wholeheartedly agree with this. RozKid did take a couple of listens to sink in, so I understand why some people might still not be super into it.

 

Can’t post my list until after the last Jedi soundtrack comes out

 

I've been thinking for so long that Rozwell Kid was a hardcore band for some reason so I've been put off, seeing a comparison to Charly Bliss means I have to check this out tho.

 

This album is very good and I really want another PHOX album
