Ha, hey! There were at least two years that Butch put out a full-length that wasn't my album of the year. But yeah, he's my album of the year. JEW also put something out this year, don't forget! But Dawes, Maren, and Parker are all in my top 10. Not entirely sure what to do with Margo and the Truckers yet. I'm having a lot of trouble cutting down to 30 this year.
I may end up with 40 myself. We shall see. When all's said and done, I'll have broken 300 listens for the year.
Yeah, I'm leaning toward doing 40 too. I don't really want to go to 50, but I feel like there are 40 records right now that are probably vying for my top 30. I'd like to talk about them all in some respect. I think I'm somewhere around 250 right now. I was definitely slowing down in November, though. Doing more revisiting than first listens.
