I'm waiting on a couple more releases before I finalize & post my list, but I just looked at your list and we have a lot of similarities! Love to see the KL, TSS, and Cayetana, specifically.
I forgot to add Kvelertak to my EOYL. Did say it was a work in progress though. And generally im about 2 years behind on music. Ive come here more to get a list of albums i know i shouldve checked out but havent yet.
The biggest surprise for me is that ive listened to Painkillers so much that i found it hard to believe its not even a year old.
I might be struggling to put my list together right now(because I've just loved so many albums this year) but I know without a doubt that my two biggest disappointments were Moose Blood and Letlive.
Biggest disappointment for me was Drake. Take Care is a top 5 album for me, so I always have high expectations for him. Sadly, Views just seems to get worse everytime I listen to it
I keep forgetting that record was 2016 instead of 2015 because I got the advance before Christmas last year. Definitely still a favorite of the year for me, though.

Disappointments: Safetysuit The Dave Cobb Southern Family project The Head and the Heart M83 Moose Blood Promise of Redemption Third Eye Blind Those are probably the biggest misses for me.
Do any artists ever put out their favorites of the year? I would be really interested in reading that.
I really like the new Frightened Rabbit -- it'll either be at the end of my list or just miss. Surprised it was so negatively received. My biggest disappointments: Wet The Wild Feathers The Hotelier Bat for Lashes House of Heroes James Vincent McMorrow Two Door Cinema Club
I was digging this one a lot in the early spring, but it fell off for me once the release schedule really got going.

The 1975 - I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It 3. Bad Suns - Disappear Here 4. Yellowcard - Yellowcard 5. Blink 182 - California 6. The Hotelier - Goodness 7. I really wanted to like it, but none of the songs stuck with me like "The Ceiling" or "Backwoods Company" did on s/t
It just didn't really hit me at all. I don't know if it's the songs themselves or just me being at a very different place in my life than I was when I heard Shane's other music, but I only went back to it a few times. I liked a bunch of it, but probably nothing quite as much as "American" or "Hard Times."
