Alright! Finally listened to the whole comp! 1. @KyleAtGalaxy "Midway Lights" - Really great production on this one! Super catchy, great songwriting, perfect start to a springtime Chorus comp. 2. @artofjosephshelton "Fever Dreams" - Love the energy on this song! Excited to hear it with vocals sometime, assuming those are coming. 3. @SmashRipsaw "guys you gotta take reindeer organs" - Very cool dark industrial-ish instrumental. Definitely puts you into a certain mood while listening to it. Awesome jam! 4. bradsonemanband "Curiosity Killed the Cat" - This is a demo I wrote and recorded for a potential upcoming project. I was listening to a lot of the band That Dog and decided I wanted to do a 90s powerpop project, and this is the first song that came out of that idea. 5. @coeurlmarx "Drifting the Wave" - This is like a folk rock song with emo influences, and I'm really into it. I liked this one a lot. 6. @White "Shinigami" - Beautiful track. Makes me wish I actually knew how to play the piano. Really nice vibes in this song. 7. @simplejack "Heavy Heart" - This is realllll good! Great guitar playing. Vocals are very James Taylor, that slide guitar sets it apart from the singer-songwriter sound. I really really like this. 8. @KyleAtGalaxy "Only Thing Worth Saving" - Awesome production on this one too. This one feels a little more 90s alt rocky mixed with maybe some Against Me influence too? Something in that realm at least. I like it! 9. @ComedownMachine "Leaked Photos of Heaven" - Loving this lofi garage/pop rock jam. I'm a sucker for distorted production. This rules! 10. @TheBreaks "Echoes" - This is really great! Love the production on this. That chorus is huge! 11. bradsonemanband "Ostrich" - This is a song from my band Frick's latest EP, Be Mad Be Sad. It's an EP of just political songs, and this one is maybe my favorite off it. It's about people who say "I don't really do politics..." and they bury their head in the sand, but telling them it's important to pay attention to it, even if it makes you mad or sad or anxious. It's ok to feel those feelings because we all are feeling the same way. 12. @artofjosephshelton "He Said, She Said" - Another great song here! It's catchy and doesn't even have lyrics yet! I really like it. 13. @White "Resurfacing" - Loving this song too. I really like how your songs create a whole little movie within them. Like, I feel like I'm actually in the song, feeling its emotions. Really great stuff! 14. @simplejack "Still Alive" - Really good song! Hopeful, feels good. 15. @KyleAtGalaxy "Fly" - I really like the spoken word verses and the super catchy chorus. Huge chorus on this song, which rules. 16. bradsonemanband "Walk" - This song is going to be on the debut EP for this new solo project I started recently. Inspired by 90s Vagrant Records bands, basically. It's about going on a walk around town and not really having a plan on coming back home anytime soon. 17. @simplejack "Hold Me Tight" - I like this a lot. Reminds me a lot of bands I used to see in the early 2000s around town. Very nostalgic. 18. @White "The Royal Shadow" - Another jam I get lost in! Really really good instrumentals that put you right in it. Score a movie already! You all did really great! Not a single song I wanted to skip, other than my own haha. Stoked to see what the next comp becomes.
This was so fun, and your words mean a lot Brad. Thanks for including my jams! I sound like a dying yak when I sing, so I'm not sure if vocals will ever come, but maybe someday!!!

Holy crap, how did I not know we put out a compilation back in March??? Urgh I must have stopped getting thread notifications and then it completely slipped my mind. I wanted to pop in here because I'm finishing up recording a song for the first time in forever and wanted to get the ball rolling on another comp. I'm gonna hit play on this one this afternoon!
Could be fun to dust off my mic if another comp happens. Didn't comment on it when it released, but I did listen to and enjoy the last one quite a bit! I swear everyone gets better every release.
