I sadly don't think I'd be able to contribute to or run these again due to my current life circumstances, but I'll stay subbed to hear any comps that get done. I can also find the login info for the bandcamp I made and pass it off, but if you guys would rather start fresh with a new page all good too. Just figured I'd at least mention it.

 

I still think it'd be a lot of fun if we all covered one particular song, in our own styles.

 

I am in favor of this idea. It would have to be something that's kind of simple so that it could be done in a variety of styles.

 

Yeah I’m unfortunately not really set up to be doing any recording rn. Definitely hope to be back up and running within the next year though. Will always check out wherever y’all submit though!

 

Definitely the interface. When I unplug the interface and listen through my speakers it plays just fine.

Bumping this thread to get this new comp moving. But also I have a question for all my fellow Garageband users....

I've spent the last 3 months working on a new song. Feels like 100 hours spent on this song. Today I was working on it, basically done I just needed to work a little more on the mix, and suddenly GB froze on me and eventually shut down. Now I can't get back into my project. I can open any other project just fine, but this one I was working on won't open at all. Has anyone come across this issue before? Is there a resolution? I've tried deleting and reinstalling garageband but that didnt work. I don't get an error message either, the screen just goes blank.

If this project somehow got corrupted and I've lost all that work, I may damn well lose my mind lol.

 

This is why I always make copies as I go. I'm terrified of my files getting corrupted.

Did you use any unusual plugins or anything?

 

Maybe our first comp of the year should be an Originals one. What do we think? Does everyone have a track or two that they would submit?

 

I used STL guitar plugins for the first time on this one. And I updated my GarageBand midway through recording. Wondering if that fucked something up.
