I use a similar setup to Brad. I got a Scarlett 212i bundle. It was 240 for the interface and a mic. I use Reaper for my DAW. Full version has a 60 day trial (I bought it when the trial ran out... it was 60 bucks).

When I program drums I use EZ Drummer 2. Usually I play my MIDI kit live plugged directly into my interface.

I just use Audacity and two (fairly cheap) condenser mics (Stadium USBMIC1 & Samson Meteor) recording at the same time. The Meteor is usually placed closer to the instrument, the Stadium is usually set up closer to my mouth/face for vocals. That's just my home equipment though. My friend has a more elaborate setup which I try to use if I'm recording with my guitar.

Yo that's fine with me. I was least interested in that song honestly. The new record did not interest me. You should, however, post your chord progressions so I can jam it when I'm finally feeling it.
