Hadn't checked the poll since before 5 last night. And it was relatively normal. Come on people...

Like, who wins wins. If you want to cover the beatles/The Hotelier bad enough to vote for them hundreds of times then you probably want to do it enough to do it on your own without "destabilizing" this thread.

Edit: we can also see where these superfluous votes are coming from. The bulk of it seems to be from NY, where the concentration is so high it's red. Then I'm over here in KC not showing up at all .

 

I guess with the election coming up, people are real hyped on the idea of voting

Here's my final argument for The Hotelier. There is obviously some interest in doing them right now. The same can be said about The Beatles, but that's been true for the last 50 years and will probably be true for the next 50. If we skip The Beatles this month, the chance that they will be nominated again is very high. I don't think the same could be said for The Hotelier. If we don't do them now, I don't think the chance of ever doing them is very good. Ya know what I'm saying?

If I can have marching bands of Manhattan I'll settle for Gibbard

I agree. I also think it's wierd that two someones would care enough about a comp that will get maybe 1000 streams to vote well over 100 times. If the band you like doesn't win, either skip it or try to get into the band that won.

I can't remember what poll it was but I voted twice once and afterward I felt bad and then wondered how long it'd be before something like this happened haha. Fwiw I don't believe I won that one anyway

If it's between those two I'd go Hotelier. Not sure I'll contribute yet but I'm more likely to if it's not The Beatles. OG vote was for Gibbard though!
