I think TBS would be a good choice considering Tidal Wave came out recently. Dunno how they'd do in a poll with those other two though, hah.

Hotelier would be amazing, it's my favorite season for their music. Plus I already know a lot of their songs on guitar. TBS would be acceptable I suppose. Or deathcab.

Weird, Halloween comp was the biggest turn out in awhile/generated a lot more buzz then recent comps I can remember. But, it also ended up with the least discussion on it post-release.

feel like tbs would runaway with this which would suck. they're the only one of the mentioned bands i wouldn't do haha

i'd be interested in is DCFC, possibly beatles. other bands a bit out of taste wheelhouse.

  11. yeah death cab is the only one i'd be that interested in out of those choices. but if i don't spend a bunch of time putting something together for a comp this month it wouldn't be worst thing haha. time has been a little tight lately.

  12. that is true, but i do feel like a big reason for that is because the older bands have a larger catalogue of songs to choose from. like, we just tried a 1975 one and it had the lowest turnout in almost a year. not saying other variables didn't contribute to that, but it's just a thought!

This. As much as I love the band I have attempted to do covers of their work multiple times to no avail.

    My thoughts exactly.

Before it all gets lost in talk of the next one without too much time to breathe on its own - I just wanted to say how awesome it is to have so many contributions, with such diversity yet all adhering to a pretty specific theme. Everyone did such a great job and I've loved listening to everything and hearing songs I wouldn't normally otherwise listen to.

Stand outs for me are angel paste, Brad (I love the field recording you did - it sounds like a Daniel Johnston/early Death Cab-esque recording and the fact you did it in the setting you did is so great), notheringsforeverdude and Benjamin Lee.

    Awesome job everyone xo

I think Copeland could be an interesting band for these comps.

  20. What about someone like All Time Low? They've been around awhile so they have a lot to choose from, but they're also fresh enough that it doesn't feel like we are catering to only older people.

I think really the biggest issue with doing a "newer" band is there just wouldn't be as much to choose from. (Assuming "newer" means at most 3 albums into their career).

  22. we'd have to definitely keep it to one cover per person if we do a band/artist with only a couple albums.
