Listened to most of this at work today. Really good stuff guys!

 

First time really posting up in here, but lurked on ap.net for over a decade. Just wanted to say I am listening now and am really enjoying everyone's contributions while at work. Great job guys! Some really creative and interesting takes on the songs as well as straight up covers appreciating Brand New's Brand Newness. Like a lot of people, BN is dear to my heart so this made my day. THank you!

@TedSchmosby My girlfriend was listening along with me and really liked your cover of quite things. I really liked your harmonies.

I was also happy you did a good job with Out of Range, that might be one of my favorite brand new songs.

@hermanthehermit We've both done Sealed To Me for one of these comps! We have to get as many good covers of this song as we can to fill the gap of no studio track from the band haha.

 

i need to do one of these again. it's been too long since i've done any recording.

@xkhiemster Loved your version of "The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot," It really suited your vocal style, and stripping it back with just an acoustic guitar sounded great.

@JakeRabin that Mene cover sounded amazing dude, one of the compilations highlights for sure.

@hermanthehermit Is there a studio version of Sealed To Me out there? Because if there is it's very hard to find! So if you learned this off a live performance, it makes your otherwise amazing performance, an even greater performance.

@Paul Beaumont Your cover of Can't Get It Out was great, probably my favourite song off of Science Fiction too. So great to hear it stripped back the way you did it. I dove into some of your original stuff too, and that was also very good.

@bradsonemanband Surprised to see you didn't get one going for this, but thanks for putting it together anyway!

Thanks to both of you. I've always wanted to be the soundtrack to a boyfriend and girlfriend hanging out. And I'm glad you liked Out of Range; I was telling my friend about this comp the other day and he chastizised me for that song choice. "All the Brand New songs in the world, and you did fuckin' Out of Range??"
