Sorry I didn't pull through on this one friends... I might just need to hold off on saying I'll have something to contribute while my band is recording our album

 

It just hit me that as a method you could bounce the individual drum midi parts to audio. That would save a lot of processing power 'cause you could remove EZdrummer after the audio is printed. I haven't tried this myself, so I don't know how effective it is, but could be worth a try. :)

 

I'm all in for the "Ladies Night" mix tape. I already have a few songs in mind.

I would love to do a Conor Oberst one. How about The Cure? They have a huge catalogue to choose from.

 

1. @Ugly Mug - Interlude: Holiday - I really like what you did with this song. I toyed with the idea of doing one of the interludes too and making it into an actual song.

2. bradsonemanband - Pressure - I actually didn't wait til the last minute to do my cover this time! Haha. Oldschool Paramore is my favorite Paramore, so I wanted to put my own spin on one of those early songs.

3. @thesoftskeleton - All I Wanted - You nailed those vocals! E-High five!!! Awesome cover.

4. @elemenohpe - That's What You Get - Your covers are always fun, and this is no exception. I dig it!

5. @t_papaccio - Misguided Ghosts - I really like your voice on this. Very cool acoustic version of this song.

6. @hermanthehermit - The Only Exception - I love this. One of my favorite tracks on here, for sure.

7. @ricklightning - Ain't It Fun - This is a cool take on the song! Nice job at making it your own.

8. @Damien Davies - Decode - I really like the way this song feels. It has a cool vibe to it with the effects on it. Sorry my synth idea didn't really mesh with the song very well. You made the song work though!

9. @Jdaniels - Misery Business - This is a really cool version of the song. I can see it going over well in a coffee house setting.

10. @redwing91007 - Ignorance - The production on this is awesome! I like this one a lot.

11. @xkhiemster - Emergency - I like that you did the live piano intro for this one. Cool idea!

 

No the back and forth we had gave me ideas for me to fix it myself, which in a way was better in the end because it meant it was me and only me, ya know? Thanks for the kind words!

I think in that line-up TBS would lose again, haha. I'll keep suggesting them though.

 

The more I think about it, the more I think The Beatles would be awesome. It's more of a departure from what we usually do.

 

Well, we did an Oldies mixtape recently. I actually did a Beatles song for it... I recently watched the Hulu documentary about the touring years. That kind of inspired the suggestion... although Brad has been campaigning a Beatles one for a while now. With a catalogue like that I don't think we'll have too many problems with participation!

 

And I already made some rad cover art for a Beatles comp, because I thought they were for sure going to win the last time they were on our poll, haha.

 

Well you can count me in. Anyone opposed?

 

lol, I'm sure we'll do a poll just to be fair... but I'm for it if we get enough support to just skip the vote.

 

I think either The Beatles or The Cure would be great as they both have a huge amount of depth in their discography. I'd sway more towards The Cure simply because they're my favourite band so I'm naturally more biased but both would be awesome and quite different to some of the recent comps :)

 

I'd say The Cure as well as they are my favorite older band and there's so many different styles we can tackle
