Well that was fast.

I finished mine a week ago. Been sitting on it seeing if I wanted to make any tweeks but haven't had a chance... might tomorrow but I'm happy enough with it if I don't find any time.

 

I was lucky I chose a short song. My whole recording is only [exactly] one minute long.

I should change my band name to Good Enough. Because that's how I feel about alllllll of my songs. Like, they're not perfect, but they're "good enough." Hahaha.

 

Brad, do you listen to these as you get them? Or do you wait until you have everything and listen to all of the submissions together?

 

The latter.

I wait til I have everything and then I listen to the beginnings and ends of each song so I can get a nice flow for the track list, and then I post it!

I generally don't listen to the full songs until it's released.

Just sent my cover of Ain't It Fun. It has a pretty raw production as I did not have nearly enough time for doing second takes on guitar, vocals, you name it. And the drums are really basic because I am so bad at writing midi.

I am really looking forward to hearing all of your renditions.

So, I accidentally let this thread fall out of my notifications by not checking it frequently enough, and totally forgot that last night was the deadline. Damn it. And I pushed for this comp too lol I feel so dumb. :( Might still record a cover and just put it on SoundCloud.

:(( I'm sorry. I feel so bad for missing this one, I need to do better about remembering deadlines. Even when I do manage to get a cover out, I'm usually doing it very last minute.
