Foo Fighters - Concrete & Gold The Wonder Years - Burst & Decay (could be interesting because there'd be a lot to discuss comparing the original to the re-recorded) Vince Staples - Big Fish Theory Turnover - Good Nature The Killers - Wonerful Wonderful Kendrick Lamar - Damn. Queens of the Stone Age - Villains The Menzingers - After the Party Bleachers - Gone Now Paramore - After Laughter Charly Bliss - Guppy
Black Foxxes! I'm down to vote on those three. I've been meaning to check out O'Brother for years it feels like.
I honestly dont listen to that O'Bro album nearly as often as I should. Seeing @bachna84 avatar has certainly made me want to play it more. I will create the poll. Just got an idea to add 2 more releases to it
https://forum.chorus.fm/threads/chorus-fm-live-listening-party-thread.23130/poll/edit Thread creator can I think ...
When I click on edit poll, i can only add to the existing choices not replace or delete any of the selections or modify the poll title unfortunately :( Edit: when i first created the poll when i went in edit i could still see at the bottom delete poll but eventually it went away and never came back
It doesn’t always have to be the same, I just thought could be a good “default” rule. I also like the idea of doing themes, like “previous release from artists with highly anticipated upcoming releases”. (For that, I’d say Front Bottoms, Julien Baker, and Converge.) If we want another 2017 record in the list, I recommend Wolf Alice (out tomorrow) Richard Edwards Julie Byrne Nana Grizol Waxahatchee
Maybe it's because i'm not on desktop but from that screenshot looks like you're not either. Those fields don't appear like that for me. I can't modify them at all
My bad if we’re settled on the poll structure but I like the idea mentioned above of making each poll it’s own theme (e.g. 2016 releases, heavy releases, genre classics). That might help us avoid some selection biases. I’d love to see everyone’s thoughts on black foxxes.
Me too i think that one is a good one to do especially after Manchester Orchestra since they definitely share some similarities and like you i would love to see the reactions that one would get
Also Safe to Say and Radiohead. Maybe 5 is too many but any of those 2016 releases would be really fun to do a live listening party for imo
I just re-listened to it the other day so it’s fresh in my mind haha but I friggin love the guitar tones on that album. Don’t like every song but there’s some top level bangers on there.
Do you guys realize there are literally billions of albums we could have listening parties for? Let's do Your Favorite Weapon. ALFM❤️
Related to that, but on a more serious note, I think the way we will have to do this is @DejaMoi picks the category (I.e. 2017 albums, scene classics, etc.) then we nominate albums. 3 likes - album gets added to the list, first 3 albums that get 3 likes we vote on? I don't know something like that because otherwise we will mention so many albums and never get to them.
Yeah no doubt. That band/album certainly is RIYL either Brand New or Manchester that's for sure yet it's still its own thing. Not too similar to them which makes me like it even more. To me the singer sounds so much like Andy at times its crazy. Not complaining tho Andy rules so not a bad vocalist to be compared to
I definitely think 2016 releases next would be fun to do just got to get this poll situation sorted out. Or no poll and we do Black Foxxes. I know @teebs41 would def enjoy that one. Like to vote lol
