Not gonna lie, I love "The Parts" more on its own than part of the album, but it provides a necessary breather before "The Silence".

The production this is seriously so haunting. The vocals with the slight echo that makes it sound like Andy is singing alone in a cave is the greatest thing

The Parts is easy in the top half of the album

The reverb on the vocals pretty much makes the song for me.

Britney Spears reference kinda takes me out of it.

I have to agree it feels very out of place. I like it....but it does feel very out of place. I was shocked when I saw it was on the album. Because it's a great Andy solo song. But when you got the band, give me the band!

Release a solo andy record too though...

I need Manchester and Julien to tour so she can harmonize with him on the Parts

The piano is a great touch on this one. This entire song is just otherworldly.

I agree with that, it just feels out of place on an album like this. The way this album seems to jump around in time makes it feel timeless, but that reference ties it back to a very specific time. That's one of the reasons I like the song more on its own than as part of the album.

I'm going to post this now so I can enjoy it with my eyes closed later. The best part of the record is when everything but Andy's vocals and bass cut out into the HUGE vocal/music ending
