I like everything about that Geese album other than the guy's voice, which I find borderline unbearable. The songs are strong enough that I still "get" why it's so acclaimed, but it was never going to stack up enough listens for me to rank it.

Solid list. Lots of my top albums on here.

All get out - side A is the biggest/best one missing imo

I really appreciate you posting about it when it came out, I would've totally missed it otherwise and it stuck with me bigtime

Feel like people on this site would really dig that Berries record I have at number 11. Probably would have broken into my top 10 with a little more time, but it was a late-in-the-year discovery for me.

Let's go. I thought 2024 was pretty dull but 2025 knocked it out.

Shouts to TSL in the top 10. Comments in the Chorus threads when it came out were surprising since I think it's clearly my 1.

Surprised Sam Fender didn't make top 30. Winona Fighter my 1 in the first 6 months.

And had no idea people were high on Silverstein. Might have to go back to that.

I think I also ignored a new AFI release? wtf

Always like going through these - some that I would never give a listen and already enjoying the Dijon release.

surprised Petey didn’t make the list!

  12. Have you listened to Diamond Eyes? I'm assuming yes, but thinking about someone finally getting into the band and where they might want to go next has me thinking that would be the one for your tastes. (It also might be my favorite, but I digress.)

  16. Hell yeah. I love all of the different modes they have, but I think that album does a great job or showing off some really polished songwriting and hooks without sanding down too many of the edges. Would love to hear more of your impressions on what you've listened to so far. Always fun to read about someone really digging into a discography for the first time!

That one further confirms my “play a bunch of awesome guitar solos and I will probably like your music” theory.

Was Portugal. The Man released too late for consideration? Denali is so good and it's not on anyone's list?
