6 teams playoffs?

 

I haven’t played since before Ohtani. How does he get handled?

 

I also haven’t played but if I’m remembering right, yahoo has a hitter Ohtani and a pitcher Ohtani. Or at least I know that’s how one website handles him

 

I made it 8 teams - i would have kept it 6 if we had 12 teams

What do you guys think about $100 for regular season champ or something. Since we are doing 8 teams making the playoffs, there should be incentive to get 1st regular season. And I always say, regular season champ is probably the more real "best team" award

Champion: $175
Runner up: $50
Consolation: $25

 

I don't dislike it, but I think $100 to 1st in just regular season is maybe too much. League champ should still be the big prize by a good margin, I think.

I'd be cool with this, but would't be opposed to leaving it as is.

That's a fair compromise. I'd be okay with the first payout system if we did less playoffs teams (and byes). But if we do 8 let's give that 1st place dude a prize

 

I am also open to pushing it back to 6 playoff teams - nothing is set in stone until 3/26

I think if we do a payout for regular season champ (which I'm totally fine with) then we should keep the playoffs at 8 teams. If it's only 6, the first place team gets a bye and basically only needs to win one of their two playoff games to win additional money.

Yup yup. 6 teams we can do it all in playoffs. 8 teams then 1st place gets prize.

I would say maybe if we do go down to six playoffs, maybe do the consolation prize for the regular season winner? IDK I just feel like they should get something. But, yeah, not something I'd split hairs over, just a thought

 

I like the idea of a payout for the regular season winner and 8 teams in the playoffs sounds good to me
