Taco Bell for self-loathing and laxative - not food. Places that serve street tacos for tacos. Most other places, especially Chipotle, for burritos. All this talk about tacos makes me want to go to Chipotle. For tacos!
my burritos keep ripping and I feel like I am ripping after I eat them I think I need to start telling them that I like a lot of things so to take it easy on the portions before we begin haha
I went to Chipotle last night and it was not good. Which is rare. They were out of hot salsa so I had to go with their tomatillo, which is basically flavorless, and the steak looked like it had been sitting there for days. The jabroni who heated up my tortillas didn't do it long enough and then they all stuck together by the time I got home. Also, the carnitas was cold. What a disaster.
I had sofritas yesterday for the first time in my bowl and it was life changing. Thank you based Chipotle gods for changing my life.
I was so sad they were closed on New Year's day :( forgot my wallet at home and they were the only place nearby that allowed online ordering. no lunch that day.
I think I'm on to a conspiracy. As a student in Chicago I usually go to this Chipotle near the DePaul loop campus. I think it might literally be underneath student housing. Anyways, I think they're skimping on the burritos. Went to a Wicker Park Chipotle and they put almost twice as much food into their burritos.
It depends on how on top of portions management is. Our actual portions are probably the place that has the smaller ones whereas the other store the employees are probably lazy and instead of putting extra food on when people ask they just throw extra food on every time. The only items that are charged extra are meat and guac. You can ask for extra of anything else for no charge so don't be afraid to ask for extra, or a side tortilla for your bowl, side of salsa etc.
The chipotle I go to doesn't charge for extra meat, I thought it was a fluke the first couple times... but I don't think it is
I think you can sometimes get them to throw on a little extra meat without charging you for it, depending on how you ask for it and how much the employee really cares. I'll sometimes get a combination of 2 different meats and specifically ask for "double" meat, and I'm usually charged. But sometimes if I'm just ordering one meat, I'll order, let them put in on the burrito, then if it seemed like a small portion I might say, "could I have just a little more carnitas, please?" and usually won't get charged for that.
