Last couple times I've tried the carnitas in burrito form. Tastes great with black beans and brown rice. It's likely great with white rice and pinto beans, too. Really anything there is great. Even the e. coli which I haven't had yet.
I like the combo of black beans and white rice because then I'm like I'll take black and white please
no guacamole. And the pork is the only thing Caitlin can eat (due to whatever stuff is in the rest) - so corn tacos with pork and white rice... Tis all. she likes.
ya the chain ones aren't great. The one here is the original freebirds before it became a chain and it tastes different, oddly.
i was a burrito guy for a long time. realized how many extra empty calories i was consuming and went to the burrito bowl. haven't looked back and didn't realize how much you can load up in the damn thing. anyone else's local chains have extremely fatty steak? every one i've ever been to has steak that's inedible, like chewing on tires. i go sofritas, barbacoa or chicken. always guac.
steak and chicken are always overcooked and dried out at my chipotle unless you get it the second they put a new bin in. I always opt for carnitas or barbacoa.
My coworkers got chipotle catering, and was going to leave a whole bowl of guacamole behind. I don't think of them the same way anymore.
My normal order is fairly plain and I always get weird looks from the workers when I order it. Burrito Chicken Cheese Sour Cream Hot Sauce Plain and simple but delicious as I don't like rice and beans. It's usually a pretty small burrito for the price unless the workers feel bad and put a little extra in. I think next time I go in I'm going to try that in a bowl (for more food) and then just ask for a tortilla on the side and go from there.
I got tired of confusing people with all of my sides and tortillas. Hence my recent burrito adventures.
