I think I like the verses more than the chorus on this one but definitely a 2/2 so far, album's gonna be sick
These two singles are better than anything off the first DRUGS record. I’m… actually looking forward to the new record? What?
Man this album is actually going to be pretty great huh? I was a little worried about him pivoting back to d.r.u.g.s. with an entirely different lineup. Destiny didn't do much to change my mind at first, but everything released since has really worked for me and I've come around on Destiny
Honestly I really think this album is gonna rip hard. I don't think they've missed a beat on any of these singles.
I listen to this album twice and I just dont dig it. It is the most okay thing out of Owens in a long time. The lyrics are not the best, which is normal for Craig, but man are they repetitive. For the most part, the energy that came from the original line up is just not there or replicated well. Either I am getting old and just dont get it or its just boring.
I enjoyed it quite a bit. Definitely a couple of weak moments lyrically, and this is like the 5th time he's written a song exactly like What's the Code to Heaven's Gate? but otherwise pretty fun stuff. NEW ERA rips and is probably my favorite of the not previously released ones. The Longest Road is a really cool rework of the badxchannels song so I'm glad it got included. The Arm is a good closer. It's not ground breaking or anything, but it honestly just feels good to have a full length album from Craig. Can't believe it's been 8 years since Devil
Surprised there isn’t more conversation about this one. Halfway through my first listen and I think it’s really good. Vocals are really great. Exactly what I expected from a Craig post hardcore record in 2022 but I didn’t think we’d get another one and I’m glad we have it. Feels more consistent and less clunky than the last one.
I’m enjoying this. Nothing that outside of the box from Craig, but as others said it’s nice to get a post-hardcore album from him again.
Craig starts "Volume one" tour tomorrow. I haven't been able to find many details about what "volume one" actually is, but he just teased a piano version of Baby, You Wouldn't Last a Minute and a Spotify presave. Anyone know what the heck Volume One is? The tour includes songs from Chiodos, Cinematic Sunrise, and DRUGS
Weird way to credit the songs, as it's not.... With them haha, but still... How the hell are there no Cinematic Sunrise tracks
yikes at that preview. I hope it works out for him, (and maybe the other songs are different) but I would have enjoyed it a lot more if he toned down the intensity of the vocals too.
