Wait, y’all really like this? I don’t think I’ve heard someone’s voice sound like this. You can hear the miles he’s put on his vocal cords and in a studio setting it’s really off putting.
ive always thought the chiodos debut was a textbook example of a fun album ruined by a legitimate bottom 3 vocal performance in the history of the scene, and that craig frustratingly became a very good singer once he stopped being able to pen a good song entirely, so i am actually kind of excited to listen to this, but i wish i wasnt lmao
I think so too. Definitely sounds like Krummet... drums sounds like DGD. Throw in a little raspy Craig. DGD/Tilian era like sound.

i never expected craig of all people to trust with a rerecording of an album that shouldn't be touched but he knew exactly what he was doing. this is my favourite thing i've heard so far this year.
The way the original sounded was pretty terrible, even if some of the songs were better than the scene fare. so glad we have this version that significantly better in all respects.
This makes me somewhat hopeful that original members are getting streaming revenue from this, even if they didn't perform on it.
So a few weeks ago someone (account now deleted) shared a dropbox on reddit. Looks like it was someone that wrote some drugs songs with Craig and I guess maybe even toured with at some point (looks like named Josh). Dropbox Link
Gotta get into the nitty gritty with who is playing the instruments, this just shows that the original name members made the songs
I actually like it. Sucks the og members aren't involved and some charm is lost so I didn't want to, but the album sounds more modern now.
Sounds really amazing, No Hardcore Dancing is still my fave, takes me right back to my teenage long distance relationship
Never really been into that album due to the production qualities so I'm curious to hear this, even though it's a bummer the other original guys don't seem to be part of it.
this hits so much harder than the original. vocals are way better, production quality much higher in general. my biggest complaint is that they removed a lot of layers on the vocals and some of the harmonies. the layers and harmonies made the album stand out to me years ago, and it’s what made bone palace feel a lot more hollow vocally.
