well, at least after this year of lipsyncing he's actually going to be singing something for once i guess
That's honestly the weirdest irony of it all, that Craig has actually sounded pretty good on the two recent DRUGS albums, so not being able to do it live is interesting. Makes you wonder if there's recording tricks or otherwise
The verbiage doesn't make sense, it says "re-recorded / remastered" If it's new recording, then it's going to be mastered for the first time, morning needs to be redone. It's there a longshot chance that only the vocals are being re-recorded, that wouldn't make any sense
If you got a VPN… it’s up on YouTube and the vocals are redone. Not sure but I think the music is remastered only, not re recorded. Maybe someone can figure that part out better than I can.
feel like thatll sound really weird lol but it also is the best case scenario as far as doing it respectably goes at this point probably
Instrumentals for the 20 year anniversary version def seem like they have been re-recorded and not just remastered. Don’t know about the vocals
This recording is *very* good. I noticed so many differences it's crazy. I had my doubts originally but nevermind!
This is definitely a case of a re-record making me realize what I loved about an album in the first place. The songs were already good, which is why they blew up in the first place, but this recording makes it listenable on good headphones.
I would assume it's the instrumentation that's been remastered for the most part, other than the production soundscapes, vocals effects, etc. In terms of production, I believe it was Kris Crummett who produced during the new sessions and then Nick Scott mixed.
He's a great producer. I don't think he's done anything that I don't like in terms of production/mixing.
