I wish you guys were my neighbors so I could get y'all hooked on the comics.
I'm hopefully starting this show some time this week.

 

UK get Riverdale, Jane, Crazy Ex but the only DC show we get is Black Lightning. It all depends on if any TV network wants them

 

Yeah exactly, overseas (as opposed to where the show is made) Netflix really is just another network procuring licenses

 

Yeah should be interesting to see how things go on Netflix because unlike Riverdale, it is exclusive to Netflix in the states.

Btw to the fans of the comics- I read an interview with the artist from Friday the 26th where he was talking about how he created the intro to the show and that they are still working on issue #9 and it has not been forgotten. So take that with a grain of salt, but hopefully the comic isn't done for good. Who knows when the heck 9 will come out though.

 

What are some good Sabrina comics to start with?

 

So I've only read The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comics that this show is based on, but if you're interested in those, I'd say start from the beginning and work your way to the end.

It's a sequential story that isn't necessarily self-contained per issue. However, there are only 8 issues and took me maybe 3 hours to read

 

Now if we can get Afterlife with Archie back.

The entire series is also out there for free on some random site and can be read in-browser ;). Not going to link it in case it violates any forum policies... but it's really easy to Google and is one of the first results.

I see a LOT of people complaining about this on Reddit. I don't understand why. I can't remember it being used much outside of the woods, and it makes sense as a symbol of the magic and power behind them. It's used substantially less after episode 2, but idk, I kind of liked it lol.

 

I thought some Christian group was going to be the first to go ape shit about this show.

 

I suppose I get it if it really is copyright infringement. It really is a carbon copy of their statue. However, still seems a bit weird to me. Religious statues are used in fictional shows and movies all the time, whether it be Jesus, Buddha or the flying spaghetti monster.

I guess they are really suing copyright for the artist and the church that commisioned the statue. If the show created it's own version of a Baphomet statue, they wouldn't be suing, according to the guy who tweeted it. The show must have wrongfully assumed the art was public domain.

 

The Sleep Demon looks straight out of the Goosebumps TV show

 

90s TV show Salem looked as real as the sleep demon

It made what should have been one of the scariest episodes into one of the funniest ones for me

Would this be terrible to watch with a 9 year old?

 

I want to say yes, but I also grew up in a stricter household than others

 

My parents wouldn’t have let me watch at 9. I woulda wanted to.

 

Yeah I thought this was really good. Stoked for season 2.

Hopefully it’s not a year away?

 

Was a good show. I think people went in expecting more Teenage Witch than Killing Witch. Its stayed true to the vibe of the comics and was surprised with a few factors such as the undead and the rituals.

Hopefully don't have to wait too long for season 2!

Is this horror movie scary or like Supernatural scary?

I finished this last night and absolutely loved it. But horror and teen drama are my two favourite things so I think I was always going to love it.
