Oh god no. I almost want to

 

The cheerleading feels so pointlessly thrown in to make a connection to Riverdale. Which is weird because that means someone thought being more connected to Riverdale was a good thing.

 

I am enjoying it other than that though. I'm just going to try and ignore the cheerleading when it comes up again lol

My roommates were watching this and I caught a look. The set design looks really cheap and unbelievable. The cheer leading stuff was highly cringe worthy.

 

Ok but it's fun and Kiernan Shipka has great abs. I mean if you're into that sort of thing.

 

enjoying the new season so far. got a few episodes left. has the typical Riverdale-verse cringe, but enjoy the new elements they've introduced, outside of the musical numbers. luckily they aren't super rampant and are short lived.

 

Yeah they're so shortlived that they don't really take away from the experience to me, but also so short that I wonder what the point is lol

 

There was a LOT of topless Nick moments in the first two episodes too. Classic Riverdale moments.

 

Would I like this if I like horror? Is this campy?

 

Yes and yes

 

It's very campy with horror elements mixed in. Better and darker than AHS, but still some cringey high school drama, sloppy plot points, and now a few short musical numbers this season heh.

No problem! I do stick around for the darker, horror moments because I do think the show does it well at times. But I'm also a big fan of the comics it's based on which is far darker with zero campiness, so maybe that's making me determined to not completely give up even though I know it will never go fully in that direction lol

 

I thought the first season was really promising, the second “part” was a bit of a misstep, and this is downright horrible. So, so disappointing. Could have been a really great show if they got the right tone. All of the production design choices are absolutely baffling.

 

I really enjoyed this season. was super fun, and some of the creepy stuff was really great. I got Buffy vibes from time to time as well so that was fun. I enjoyed the Wizard of Oz journey of hell, but did they just drop the ball on any kind of twisted cowardly lion scene? also, I personally really enjoyed the band practice always being interrupted by Sabrina with an emergency bit haha. would have been fine with that continuing and them being like "oh come on!" haha. interested to see where the next season goes

 

Has this been renewed? If not wonder if it suffers the same fate as other Netflix shows after the third season. It somewhat ties up nicely. But I must admit I binged season 2 and 3 over this last week and honestly I have no idea what was going on. I couldn’t keep my attention on it at all

Just finished this last night. What a ride. The cheerleading and band practices were a little cheesy I guess but they really didn't bother me because I felt like there weren't that many and they slowed down for the last few episodes. Sabrina joining the team seems honestly pretty pointless though other than to give her some semblance of a tie to Baxter High.

Overall, it was definitely over the top and ridiculous and a bit of a mess, but it was fun. I like the Sabrina split because they were hinting the whole time that a part of Sabrina really wanted this, and I think it's in line with what we saw from the first two parts. She definitely has an arrogance to her. It does seem a little weird that Sabrina 2 was so willing to just never see her family and friends, but I assume it was meant to be a different version of her altogether. Something about time magic.

Anyway, doubt we have to worry long because this will inevitably all come crashing down in part 4. Lilith did get done dirty that's for sure, but also I feel like it makes sense that the demons would not just accept her rule for no reason, so I guess I get it.

I think the reason I still find this a LOT more tolerable than Riverdale (which i mean I still tolerate as well) is that it's much more concise. I don't mind some absurdity when it's only like 8 episodes.
