The filming was wrapped up in September apparently. I feel they missed an opportunity to air this during Halloween again.

Either way I'm stoked though.

 

loved the video, so fun haha. can't wait for season 3

 

Didn't know Glee was still on

 

Can't wait to start watching the new season tonight! Surprised nobody's mentioned it in here or the Netflix thread

Me and my gf watched one ep before we got too tired last night. So far so good. There’s a cameo of Cheryl’s mum.

 

I'm on episode 5 and have been really enjoying the season, but my God, enough with the singing scenes. I cheer every time Sabrina busts in on her friends cookie cutter band and gets them to stop playing

 

Oh god this is just riverdale now. This season is awful.

 

Yeah they are doing too much Riverdale shit with this season. Only 4 episodes in and still enjoying but damn chill out with it

 

Aside from the musical numbers (which I fucking haate), the writing of this season seems pretty consistent with the others. It's always been sloppily written with half-baked plotlines, and making me want to yell at Sabrina for being an entitled idiot who just gets lucky any time something works out for her.

I was still very entertained. Can't wait to see what the hell Blackwood is hatching. I already have an idea based on the comics but I have no idea how they would pull it off with their budget.

 

My biggest complaints:

- Lillith goes from being this powerful feminist in the last season for all of that to be completely undone within an episode, with her being subservient to Sabrina and Lucifer, and Zelda just treating her like shit as if she isn't still a powerful demon to be feared. They did her character dirty.

- Nick and Sabrina were both awful.. He was treating her like shit, never thanked her, and Sabrina was just obsessed with him and making excuses for everything. He was also very possessive after breaking up with her. Prudence nailed things on the head when she asked Sabrina why she would even want to be with him. On the other side of it, Nick suffered great trauma and implied sexual abuse, and Sabrina was very dismissive of it with kind of a "suck it up" attitude. Also didn't like how they just turned his trauma into some perverse sex scene with the two demons. Felt like they could have dealt with that a little better.

- The entire fate of the world was in Sabrina's hands and yet she had time to stop for cheer practice and going on a date with Nick lol. C'mon. Caliban taking over the throne is a lot more important. Also, dammit, stop taking detours before returning the pieces of the regalia to Hell! She could have dropped that bowl off immediately before returning to help the coven. She got lucky there.

- The Sabrina who ends up ruling Hell seems like a way more evil version of herself when she should really just be a Sabrina that didn't endure loss of her family. She's totally chill with never seeing her friends and family again? Really? Also, Sabrina is so dumb for not fixing the time loop. So frustrating.

 

I'm only two episodes in but I think Sabrina is written a lot lot worse as a character. The musical numbers made me turn it off though. Awful. They're awful in Riverdale and somehow worse here. Why does the show runner want all his shows to be Glee?

Reading the above yeah, everything in the first two episodes seems a complete 180 character-wise for everyone and it doesn't seem like they correct the ship.

 

Sorry for spoiling . I know that the forum rules say everything is fair game once a show has been released, but I just went back and spoiler tagged it anyways.

But yeah, the Glee thing is so true. My dad and his partner really like the show and those are the exact words I used discussing this season: "since when did this show turn into Glee!?"

 

It's no problem! I've already forgotten most of what you wrote. I won't be finishing this season anyway. Two wasted hours is enough.

 

Y'all know the show runner worked on Glee, right?

 

Makes sense, but I still feel that it's out of place for this particular show

 

The cheerleeding/singing was painful. Enjoying it other than that though
