Revisited this again today for the first time in a while, really enjoyed it! It's a grower for sure

 

I'm obviously biased but it's one of my favorites of the year, especially after his announcement that there's more coming

 

It's the only album of his that I listen to all the way through. Forgot it came out in 2020 though, so it didn't make my top 10

 

I had trouble fitting this into my top 50 albums of the year, and I still really enjoy it. 2020 has seriously been such a great music year for me

 

A bunch of tracks from this showed up on my 2020 recap, so I guess I really did listen to it a lot when it first came out.

 

Just finished writing a 12 page essay on This is America for one of my finals lol

 

Don't know if this is the right place to post this but are we ever going to get a recorded version of "Saturday" that he played live on SNL?

 

at this point, I severely doubt it. it's just been too long

the Guava Island film does have a nice version of it though, and some people have ripped the music from the film so it's floating around on the internet

 

I still have hope that it's gonna be on the "big" album he's talking about dropping next, along with Human Sacrifice. He knows how bad the fans want them

 

Do we know anything about when that'll be dropped?

 

I'm sceptical he's even working on an album lmao. who knows at this point, if something drops it drops

 

Nothing specified but I could see it being this year. Maybe he worked on it a lot when production on Atlanta got halted?

With how little he tweets I don't think he would have ever said that if there wasn't something to it lol

 

Man, I swear it's always you and me that are the only ones up this late. I know we're talked about it before, but I just noticed this haha

 

to rephrase my earlier comment, he likely is always working on something, but I'm sceptical it will actually be coming out anytime soon or be as 'big' an album as he seems to be suggesting. (remember when Ludwig said his fourth album was gonna be his hugest project and then... not to disparage 3.15.20 but most of my friends don't even remember it came out lol).

it's just part of being a Donald fan, I can't let myself get my hopes up. anyway put "Human Sacrifice" in the next season of Atlanta Donald, thanks
