Also I just went into my iTunes and changed the song titles to the real ones that they had before the actual release

Been playing this a bit the last couple of days, really good album.

 

Just gave this another listen. Still baffled by the roll out of this, its been out for over 2 months and there hasn't been any promotion.
Also if you just cut out We Are and Why Go To The Party it becomes such a better album.

 

I constantly forget this exists despite liking it. It’s strange that Donald hasn’t even acknowledged that it released as far as I recall.

 

One of the biggest “flops” I’ve ever seen, and it’s mostly self-inflicted? Not sure what happened woth this

 

Lol, also forgot this existed. What a waste unless he has another album coming.

And I'm still mad at how much Guava Island sucked.

 

Pretty bizarre way to release an album

 

I really like We Are haha think it’s a great chill intro to an easy record to listen to

any reason to think he was “forced” to put something out by his record co or something & didn’t have a choice?

 

I actually really like this album when I put it on, I just never put it on. There’s just so many confusing things about this release. (Also id listen constantly if Human Sacrifice was on it)

 

SOOOOOOOOOO ridiculously un-true, Guava Island is so great

 

Guava Island was trash and a waste of time, I almost forgot I watched it

as someone who remains a huge DG fan of nearly everything he's ever done... this album is his weakest LP and Guava Island is the weakest thing he's put out on film. wish I liked both more.

 

I saw Guava Island in the theater he built for it at Coachella and it was a really cool experience. There were some animations that would surround the screen at times which really enhanced it

 

I legitimately think it's an exceptional short film that falls somewhere between the vibes of Atlanta and his live performances

 

Not sure I agree it's a flop, more a victim bad timing.

I should listen to it more, but I enjoy it for what it is.

 

I'd take this LP over Camp.

 

I love Camp, but it’s very much a product of its time. Which I think is a polite way of saying it’s aged badly haha

 

Yeah, i haven't returned to this album at all. So weird too. Like no art, no titles, no promotion... almost no passion in the songs either.

 

guava island is meh

the new album didn't even have me wanting to listen

I also 100% forgot about this album lol I did actually enjoy a lot of it. Going to have to give it a run again

 

All I care about is Saturday

 

The last song on this album is really great

 

It's a weird album to me, song by song I would say I like them and there is plenty of cool stuff on the album that would bring me back to it... but as a whole, it just feels incomplete
