The album is also available as a single song if someone wanted that for some reason. The tracklist are the time stamps
I haven't listened to this yet, but can anyone confirm yet that it's the same as what was streamed on his site?
Finished my first listen. I really think there's going to be more to this, which I think distracted me at times, but it's fucking great for the most part. Super weird futuristic pop with really off the wall production and his voice is amazing the whole time, and I'm glad we got some semblance of rap, even though I liked the live version of Algorhythm a lot better lol I don't want to bog this thread down with theories too much yet so I won't share much of what I think about that. If this is really the only album/project we're getting then I'll need to relisten with a totally different mindset, but I do like it a lot for the most part
Also I'm not retitling the thread until we're sure lol, I find it very hard to believe 3.15.20 is the final name
that's the intro of "Human Sacrifice" extended into its own song, which fans have been calling "Why Go to the Party" since last week. it's not the actual "Human Sacrifice" song at all. no differences at all from what he streamed last week to what released today that I can see
fairly sure we're not getting anything else lol, I've been down that rabbit hole too many times before and always set myself up for disappointment I love this album, but the rollout was super bizarre, dunno how to get a handle on anything yet
If it was anyone else but Gambino I'd agree, but he's been known to be incredibly "extra" with his releases for lack of a better term lol
Yeah I gotta just assume this is the album unless something else happens, I've been burned too many times in the past thinking there is more when there isn't
Very excited and happy with this. not really a fan of the lack of titles and art but I’m mostly just thankful for the album!
Why do I have a feeling he’ll delete this just like he did with the website stream. Should get on this ASAP.
I gotta think this was a label mandate, like “Donald, we gotta have some marketable singles with names that aren’t timestamps”
At the very least the tracklist is different from the download that was floating around, although maybe that’s just an order that someone put it into due to having no info about where the album started.
This is the most bizarre album rollout I've ever seen. And why is the album artwork just an all white square, but on the stream he had art? Something seems off. Still love the album though. But No Human Sacrifice or Saturday, or that pre recorded track that played at the beginning of his shows on that last tour. Seems like more is coming.
I didn't like this much at all on my first listen. Maybe the lack of album art and whack titles is swaying me, but it doesn't feel like a real album. Feels like a collection of b-sides or something. There's definitely some great songs and solid moments, but as a whole it feels weird.
