Yeah I streamed it all last night and it was really cool, it was also like 3am so my memory isn't perfect lol
Man I don't really smoke anymore but I was all ready to pack a bowl and just sit with this album tonight. Messing up my night Donald!
Wonder if it's dropping Friday. I could see him dropping Human Sacrifice as a single with a video maybe on Friday and then fully dropping on the 27th, I'm not sure he'd want to drop the same day as The Weeknd and there isn't really any competition next week
I think the fact he dropped this in the middle of the night in the States with no fanfare suggests he doesn’t care much for specific release dates/times haha
he teased the number "28" like constantly during the This is America tour so people have been expecting it to drop on the 28th of a month for ages. definitely could be this 28th I'm thinking and folks: we're never getting "Saturday". we have to let it go :(
Why would he perform Saturday on a major television show AND give it its own scene in his movie, and then not properly release it? Then again I don't understand any of his music rollouts as of lately so I shouldn't be too surprised.
the only answer I have for you is: he's Donald Glover lmao. at this point he might legitimately never release "Human Sacrifice", possibly the best song he's ever written. god knows his reasons
seriously imagine going back to 2011 and playing "Vibrate" for someone who only knew "Freaks and Geeks". they would never believe it's the same artist. shit is like The Love Below and The Life of Pablo had a lovechild or something, it's unbelievable
Imo warlords being the first track and sweet thing being the final track feels the most complete so I think that's the order
It hurts my head trying to figure out the real order. Like The Violence would be a perfect closer, but then Under The Sun would be a weird opener. Also it's just so absolutely bonkers how much his music has evolved in the last decade. If you traveled back in time and played Camp era fans a song like Warlords and told them it was Donald, their heads would explode.
This actually works great in terms of opener/closer. But it would be weird having Big Foot and Why Go to the Party so early on.
