Deeply sorry for the delay. Do y’all want the full video, or split MP3s of the performance? I now have both.
Copy and pasting what I said in the Guava Island thread... I think the message is simpler than what I was thinking, it seems to be a classic people vs. oppressive government story. Red is the villain’s name, and the jumpsuit they wear in the factory is red, and the color blue is the symbol for freedom, which they all wear at the end. The blue bird that Deni sees caged in Red’s office and then sees free right before he dies is also blue, and he smiles right before he’s shot because he realizes that his death is about to bring freedom to the islanders who won’t take the oppression anymore. I enjoyed it a lot more in retrospect after thinking this over I really hope he drops an EP with the 5 songs from the movie (I know 3 of them are already out but I like having songs in a cohesive project). He could even include the Red’s Cargo song as an interlude lol
Nah I mean I got it. its like so ham fisted with the message, has no nuance or depth, characters are one dimensional with no changes, acting was stilted and bland, it was not good. As a big fan of Atlanta the direction was good, but this story wasn't all there. I'll take an album tho
