I saw Tony Romo there once. I had great service, food was delicious, definitely would be a regular if I could afford it haha.

Well, today is the day we find out if I am gonna be denied a vaccine that I successfully signed up for because I input my email address incorrectly. I called every phone number I could think of to try and sort this out. I was on hold with the UC hotline for 4 fucking hours at one point. Every one I spoke to said they couldn't help me but advised me to just show up and hope for the best. Quite the system we got here!
best of luck! I have multiple addresses on file and had to explain it to Walgreens. Thankfully I got the vaccine, but it certainly seems like unless you have all your ducks in a row, you’re bound to have issues.
Thanks. Yeah, its the dumbest thing. I made the appointment via Zocdoc, but apparently once the appointment is made it triggers an email from the city with your order # and a link to some forms you need to fill out. I didn't get those because the email address I used on zocdoc contained an error. I figured this would be a super easy fix. Just call the hotline, tell them about the typo and have them resend me the email. Nope! There is even a link on the city's UC website for resending the confirmation email...but it just has you input the email address you used to sign up. So it is completely useless for someone with my problem. Ugh. I'm quite pessimistic.
Welp. They wouldn't vaccinate me. They had me call Zocdoc, who confirmed that I had an appointment. But there was no capability of sending the initial confirmation email to a different email address. So, my initial typo proved fatal. Just complete and utter bullshit. I had felt so much hope for the first time in over a year and now its just gone over some nonsense. I am completely crestfallen.
Damn, that's fucked. Sorry to hear it. Are you able to try and reschedule for a different day using your actual email address?
Yeah I can try. But I have checked every day for the last two weeks (because I feared this) and I haven't seen any new appointments. So, it is just gonna be a long while before I am able to schedule something, I fear.
The fact that they can't fix something as simple as an email address shows just how unprepared they are.
Fuck i'm sorry that happened @scottlechowicz . If you're eligible under statewide guidance in addition to city guidance and are able, i would just try to make an appointment at Walgreens or Jewel or something in the suburbs or even further if you have the time. They are not that demanding whatsoever on proving eligibility over something as insane as an email typo.
Yeah, I've been checking the burbs where my parents live but I haven't had any success because I qualify now as a government employee statewide. It is just so terrifying seeing the variants spreading. Every day I get an email from our building's management saying another resident tested positive. It just feels like I am fighting the clock.
Yeah, variants going nuts and Lightfoot "ringing the alarm bells" by 1. not decreasing indoor capacity and 2. encouraging people to still gather by increasing outdoor like a fucking moron.
Also, Lori's answer regarding CPAC today is fucking bullshit. Alex Nitkin on Twitter: "This was one of the mayor's most telling comments on police oversight in a while, IMO. Here's a transcript of her full answer, after she was asked about the provision of the new CPAC/GAPA compromise proposal that would call a binding voter referendum on oversight structure: https://t.co/yAcXrUSWcl" / Twitter
So fucked, sorry to hear it. A lot of my family has gotten lucky at Walgreens checking in the AM around 8. Park ridge and Chicago, and appointments had been that week. it’s been Moderna for all of them.
Yeah i scooped my first dose appointment at 7am on a Saturday for this past week at Walgreens. Was absolutely wide open.

Good news. The State announced it is opening up a vaccination site for State employees in Chicago because the city won't expand eligibility. I was able to sign up for Tuesday. I won't let myself get too excited until that needle is in my arm.
Oh cool! The Union I work for represents a bunch of state employees, I’m going to make our members are aware. Thanks for sharing!
