From what my girlfriend said that works at a medical facility, Pfizer sent out slightly more per person from what they announced earlier and have been able to move the first group up and also vaccinate more people. For example, she was originally scheduled to get it the first week of January and was moved up to yesterday, so she is done with the first vaccine. She said it doesn’t hurt and didn’t feel side effects like soreness or anything.

 

I know about 7 people that have been vaccinated in either Illinois, Ohio, or Florida; all medical personnel. My mom, who works at an assisted living center in Arizona, is on a list to get it next month. It feels reassuring that good, smart people I know are already jumping on it.

 

I’m not sure when they will have the Moderna vaccine, but once they have both I don’t think there is a choice. It’s just whatever they have readily available.
