Can't bring myself to let Lori make me be outraged at the beachgoers when she still won't close the fucking bars
Well, the ones that don’t serve food can’t open indoors anymore, but yeah I can think of a bunch of other comparisons that floor me.
There are ways around this. I walked down Rush Street last night and bars that don’t normally serve food and therefore shouldn’t be open were open because they set up a taco stand outside to circumvent the no food can’t open rule. Also, one of the nightclubs on Rush Street (I’m pretty sure it’s called Detention) was open with people inside which is definitely a place that should not be open.
Excited to spend all night hoping one of my neighbor's many tall, unhealthy trees doesn't fall on our power line.
I live in Lincoln Square and things seem fine. Friends southeast of me in Lakeview/Buena Park say that it's picking up near them. Stay safe, everyone!
It was super windy where I was and storming but that’s all. I’m in the heart of the city so no tornado sightings.
Damage is actually way more than I thought on the north side. Some pretty big branches down and a glass door storefront blown out on Ravenswood
Still no power at my house, so I drove around this morning to charge my phone, and the worst of this missed me by like a quarter mile. Some huge trees down.
Com-Ed says it could take “days” to fully restore everything as they are assessing all the damage Caused. I live in the south subs and we lost power at like 4 yesterday right before the storm actually hit. Then sometime between 11pm and 2am Comcast went out. I have power Cuz the place I live has a generator that auto kicks on when the power goes out. So power but no internet
