Cafe Selmarie has my favorites usually, but they may be already sold out. Depends how far north you are or are willing to go. I only know Lincoln Square/North Center places.
The amount of idiots out in Wrigleyville (and in general) is insane. Literal idiots. My friends were planning on coming down for the weekend from the suburbs to celebrate but we postponed because of the virus.
I worked food service in Wrigleyville during the last three St. Patrick’s Day weekends, and it’s absolute hell dealing with the most deeply inconsiderate crowds. I can only imagine what restaurant workers & bar staff in the area have been/ are being forced to endure today
I had a very mild celebration with some friends today but avoided the bars like the plague. No way I was getting involved in that.
I manage a Starbucks in Lakeview and yeah there are still a shocking amount of bros out right now... we were preparing for a busy day tomorrow as people commute downtown but I’m not sure anymore with no parade.
Walking my dog in Roscoe Village, it was disconcerting to see groups of like 10 clearly heading to the bars
All bars, restaurants to close to dine-in customers in Illinois through March 30 due to COVID-19 concerns
The amount of people out and about in Lincoln Square is nuts. Can people REALLY not stay put for a bit? I have two kids under 5. I'm losing my mind but still being strong!
I’m heading to Aldi on Montrose here in a bit as one final push to grab some food before more closures inevitably happen.
I have Harvest Time RIGHT BY my house so I hit them up yesterday first thing in the morning. Pretty well stocked. I also have a Costco delivery scheduled for tomorrow haha. Working from home for the foreseeable future, we'll see how this goes.
My company began letting us work from home indefinitely starting today, so that's what I am doing now. It felt very strange going into the office yesterday.
Statewide shelter-in-place order coming today. Illinois Governor Expected to Issue Stay-at-Home Order: Sources
This doesn’t really affect my life. Running lately had been awesome because SO many people are tired of being cooped up.
