Happy impending November blizzard everyone

 

My sisters flight back to Seattle is actually not cancelled but a couple of my employee’s flights back to Chicago after the holiday are...hopefully no one is planning on going outside tomorrow.

 

I have to drive to O'Hare area for work from north side. Hopefully it isn't a mess...

 

Real Friends are playing at Subterranean on December 29th with Hot Mulligan. Happy because I didn’t get to go to HoB tonight.

 

Flying home to Chicago from Florida tonight. What sorta mess can I expect to greet my sunned buns?

 

Everything’s fine now in the city, from what I’ve seen. My grandparents are still without power in the Northwest burbs.

 

Yeah, streets are clear in Lincoln Square-area, highways fine. The suburbs are hit or miss. Arlington Heights still has people without power I believe.

 

I already don't miss the winters in Chicago. Have fun y'all.

 

I don’t know if anyone else takes the 36 Broadway bus but it is the absolute worst.

I have to stop taking so many Ubers but taking the bus makes me furious.

Anyone knows what's the curfew time for +17 events on a Saturday?

I want to go to the Emo Night Brooklyn event at the Bottom Lounge but i have another thing prior to that and i could only get there around 11:30 and i'm wondering if it's too late to get there at that time...

I called TBL and they said they would only know the day of the event.

 

Believe the curfew only applies to those under 17 and it's 11pm on the weekends.

 

I was actually watching this and the show is like a lesson in how to gentrify

I work at a public library about 25 minutes out from the city, I almost have to imagine I'm gonna have the day off if that holds lol

Which library? I’m also at one outside the city (Northbrook), hoping we get that day off!

 

I think I'll work from home....that sounds miserable. All of it..

 

I’m planning on going into my office in the loop tomorrow then coming home during lunch to finish at home. Wish I would have brought my laptop home so I could avoid even leaving my apartment tomorrow.

 

Officially got the okay to work from home on Wednesday because the high is -12.

I see some mid-week day drinking happening.

 

Working from home today, roads are a MESS. Got a few blocks before turning around haha

 

Had to come into work at 7:30 this morning. Not even a late start. Am livid.

If I have to come in on Wednesday (spoiler: I will), I'm going to pitch a fit.
