Thanks man. Yeah I was already leaning towards the Hilton. Room will be bigger and yeah just seems a bit nicer overall. Definitely don't mind being in the middle of the action at all. Better than staying at the airport

 

Aragon Ballroom is a beautiful space. Glass Animals were pretty great.

I'm moving into a studio right off Lawrence in a few days. Being so close to The Riviera Theatre and Aragon should be pretty cool. Unless I'm trying to take the L any time there's a Cubs game or show, lol.

 

Used to live near there a few years ago. Fat Cat is a great dinner and drink spot. Tweet is a must for brunch. I also recommend the free variety show called Paper Machete Saturday mornings at Green Mill.

Saw a friend's snapchat last night saying she waited an hour for a beer at the Oktoberfest. May throw a wrench into my plans today if that's the case lol

 

Haha if you're talking about the revolution fest Dude it was brutal. Even if I could I wouldn't go back.

It was just an absolute zoo, if you're going and not eating/drinking it will be fine but the beer line and ticket lines are out of control. Food wise my girlfriend waited over 45 minutes just for a brat and missed most of Alex G.

 

Fuck lol that's awful. I was gonna swing there before AM at Concord since it's so convenient, but I may have to change course now. Fortunately I have no harm in scoping it out since I'll be over there anyways.

 

Yeah I mean I'd do that, but you'll see what I mean haha. The stage was right by Radtler or whatever and we went in there to try to get beers that way and it was even like 20-25 min each time and they started running out of things. Hopefully they get things sorted out for today

 

Skipped the Rev Oktoberfest and went to the Green Mill's Paper Machete show instead. Great decision.

 

Has anyone eaten at Poke Poke on Wabash near the Art Institute? So good. I've been eating at Wow Bao a lot too since it's on the Red Line stop I get off at. Other good Asian recs in the Loop or North side?

PS does anyone know of a Netflix detective show that's shooting in town right now? Because the lead comes into my store and acts like a total asshole to my team all the time so I want to be sure to never watch it.
