Kuma's is great but I just cannot eat that much food lol

 

What's up guys, I'm a neighbor from up north (Minneapolis) and I'm coming down there this weekend to see Bruce on Sunday. I'm coming down with my three friends and we're staying downtown. Where would you recommend we go if we want to go out and have a bunch of drinks and fun but not spend tons of money? It doesn't have to be downtown or anything. Thanks for the help!

Aw that's no bueno. Is it newer? I've always had great service on the south side. One thing I do miss about living farther north is the much bigger variety that's available.

If you want craft beer: Hopleaf, Map Room, Quenchers.

Cheap beer: anywhere in Wicker Park... just take the blue line train to Damen and get off. You'll be surrounded by bars.

 

Yeah, it opened up this summer I think. It's not too bad, because the food is almost all good. Oh well. Love the North Side, the food is unbelievable up here haha

Flat Iron and Nick's are great cheap spots in Wicker Park. Link's Taproom always has s great selection of craft beer as well. You can also head up to Logan Square, where there are lots of great dive bars as well as a Revolution Brewing tap room.

 

Would highly recommend doing a night boat rental on the river. Bunch of friends and I got a groupon deal on Friday, $36 + tip a person covered it, including a driver. Really gives you an awesome view of the city. Also, if you're planning on boozing, definitely get a driver. We ran across a wasted bachlorette party whose self-driven boat died and got stranded on some rocks; ended up towing them back to their dock in a hilarious 30 minute segment haha.

 

Who here is going to RIOT FEST this weekend? I'm going alone Friday and Saturday and meeting with friends on Sunday.

Anyone wanna meet up/see the same bands?
