Meadowlark is the best. I own three of their menus. Surprised that it fell out of the top 50 honestly. This new menu was awesome.
I’ve gotten this scam like 8 times over the last couple months. All from non illinois area code Scam court notice may arrive in your mailbox, officials warn – NBC Chicago
Buddy of mine is looking for a roommate in Logan Square, basically across from Bang Bang and <5 min. walk to the California blue line stop. $900/mo, move-in flexible sometime between May - August. If anyone is interested me, hmu!
Hey I’m taking a trip to Chicago at the end of June for a little over a week and I’m looking for recommendations on things to do / places to go. Besides museums because those were easy enough to look up myself lol I’ve got some family in the suburbs that I’m gonna hang out with a couple times, but for the majority of the time it will just be me by myself. I’ll be staying at a place in the Logan Square/Wicker Park area, but I’ll be there long enough that I plan on going all over the city. Also for any food recs, I’m a vegetarian + don’t drink alcohol
Logan Square/Wicker Park means that you are going to be in an extremely vibrant spot with tons to do and see. Neighborhood Restaurant Recs: The Whale, Wolf & Company, Dove's Luncheonette, Handelbar, Mindy's Bakery, Big Star, Blue Line Lounge and Grill Fun shops: Reckless Records, Shuga Records, Graveface Things to do: Take a pic with Shit Fountain
My favorite book store (Myopic) and record/book store (Bucket O' Blood) are both relatively close to there. Seconding the Handlebar rec too - great food.
my fav pizza spot moved out of wicker and to logan square, they are called Dimo's, i recommend their mac and cheese slice, very tasty! (havent been to the new spot yet so i hope it tastes the same) they were in winker park for forever! also save travels out this way from wherever you are coming from!
Has anyone ever gone to those Q101 pop up shows at the Cubby Bear they free and on a first come first served basis. Story Of The Year are playing next Saturday, I'm thinking how early I need to get there in order to get in for sure. They open at 3 and show is at 7.
The one we played, I think people were still able to get in at like 5:30 but it very much depends on the artist.
Saw the Coheed acoustic show there last year and it was incredible. I got there about 5 and as fine. After work things can get hairy.
I saw SOTY there back in like 2010? Saosin opened and were pretty awful (coves downfall) but story of course crushed it. That’s funny they are playing there again and fo freeee
I was also there! I’m 99% sure I lost hearing at that show because I was standing close to the front of the stage in front of Ryan and every time Josh hit the 808 pad it would come through that front speaker and it rattled my soul. It was the last one I ever attended without earplugs.
But like I said in the Riot Fest thread, Taste of Randolph lineup is great, Duff's been doing a great job with that lineup since they took over
Yo that’s crazy also my brain is telling me AM Taxi opened the show , do you remember if they played too??
