Possibly the best venue in Chicago, especially inside the shed. What ticket did you grab for the show?
Awesome venue, once you get the parking situation figured out. It's truly a "no bad seat" type of venue. Great sound system.
Seconding that it's one of the best in the city. Especially as far as sound and concessions are concerned. As an added bonus, Goose Island Brewing is on the premises, too, if that's your thing.
Not bad, better than being on the floor at the board. You're able to go back and forth between the floor and the seats so do it, see what you like! Like @chewbacca110 and @RogrStahlback said - it's easily one of the best sound systems in the city. I don't think it's a L-ISA but it is L-Acoustics and it's set up pretty much perfectly.
I’ve seen some cool stuff about folks buying out a tamale stand for the day so they don’t have to go outside and risk detainment for the day - does anyone have any details on how to do that my friends and I want to try to do this.
yo what an INCREDIBLE place that was, holy shit. Sound quality was absolutely bonkers, free water at multiple spots, cheap-ish old style, and an arcade to fuck around in waiting for the band to play? Amazing experience.
I loved it the first time I went but then I really fell in love with it when Beach Bunny's Pool Party was during the heat wave. They didn't have to open the Shed floor for people to cool off but they did. Changed their bag and bottle policy for the day to ensure people would have water. Were giving it away everywhere beyond what they normally do. It was refreshing.
I always forget to promote my shows here, but not this time. Pelafina is playing Cubby Bear on the 21st with a really cool lineup: https://www.cubbybear.com/events/regular-oatmeal-w-sad-witches-dutch-cove-pelafina
