We knew this guy was going to have a really rough road. He was likely to be a hospice case. He suddenly passed today while starting treatment. He learned love and compassion and didn't die alone, the best outcome we could have asked for, to be honest.

I should be standing in the middle of Union Park today catching early afternoon sets. Get fucked, Condé Nast.
Went to a show on the lake tonight to see Pictoria Vark, Squirrel Flower and Free Range and it’s cool things like this where I am reminded Chicago is the coolest city. A guy named Eli Schmitt (eli_schmitt on Instagram) put the show together and he has been putting on some unique shows like this one lately, which is very sick.

I forget about these since I’ve never played on one ever. Online sports betting, legal video gaming could be cash cow for Chicago, alderpersons say
Hi hello, a couple weeks from today I am going to be spinning some (entire) records at CHIRP's Both Sides Now, a themed vinyl listening event that we do monthly Upstairs at Schubas. I will be playing: Sufjan Stevens' Seven Swans Reverend Kristin Michael Hayter's SAVED! Julien Baker's Sprained Ankle Free to attend, drinks and food available from Schubas/Tied House if you want. Come hang and listen to some (kinda) Christian music.
And here I thought it was a Naked Gun reference. Which, now that I think about it, may be a record reference itself.

Interviewing for a job that would require me to relocate to this lovely city and I’m actually flying in next week for my final interview in person! I feel pretty good about my chances, just would be such a big change and I’m nervous about having to find an apartment so quickly. The office is in Niles but I only need to go on site 2 days a week, so I’d be okay commuting a little further if it isn’t an every day thing. Not sure what areas I should even start looking or some sites to use and I’d love some recs just so I’m ready to start looking ASAP if they send the offer.
I think the biggest questions are how big of a commute you're willing to make those two days a week and how close you wanna be to, say, venues and stuff (and also how much you wanna use your car outside of work-related things, assuming you have a car).
