If you're into whiskey at all, Delilahs is absolute heaven. They also have a good beer selection and good specials. Local Option is also in Lincoln Park and has one of the best tap lists in the city but can get a bit pricey. www.beermenus.com/places/1255-local-option
considering that, prob going to holly Herndon/Jlin though, since Holly is the same time as Sufjan during the fest
You're here for P4K right? They have a craft beer booth behind the baseball diamond on the south west side of the park (toward the blue stage). It has rotating drafts every hour and they post the schedule on a big board at the booth.
@9th At Pine yup and that's awesome, definitely need to spread it out over the weekend. My stretch goal is to leave Monday with 300 beers on Untappd (currently at 275)
I just ran the Rock and Roll Half Marathon and it started pouring as soon as I crossed the finish line. I felt lucky.
Looking pretty far ahead but anyone getting at the PUP headliner on Nov 12 and/or Caspian on Nov 13th? Gonna be an incredible weekend of shows.
I'll probably try to catch PUP. I was really looking forward to seeing them at WPF, but it turns out I have a work meeting that night. Just my luck.
Part of me is glad I avoided WPF this past weekend because "ugh, weather," but really bummed about missing PUP, Alvvays, and Cloakroom.
Pup got cancelled and moved to beat kitchen, went home after I found out. Monobody, Mother Nature and Diet Cig were all great shows tho
Good to know! Unfortunately not immediately familiar with those acts, though the names sound familiar. I'm a bit of a Chicago-n00b so I've only been to one WPF before this and I'm still impressed by their overall lineups.
Would have loved to have been at that PUP show, free no less too. Still waiting for their Bottom Lounge tix for November to go on sale, has to be soon now though considering Wicker Park Fest is over.
Yeah, Monobody was so rad. I had listened to their album a few times, but I didn't realize they had two bassists until last weekend.
Monobody is one of my favorite bands in the city, jealous of their two bassists my band still looking for 1. They just consistently blow me away live, that level of talent is ridiculous.
Was in the city for the first time for Lolla last weekend. Went to Big Star in Wicker Park for lunch. Honestly, one of the best taco places I've ever been.
