Extremely sad. My partner and I had our first date there and celebrated our anniversaries there too. Even before this was announced I booked a table for this weekend to get some friends together.

 

New 1,500 capacity music venue coming to Bridgeport

 

Other Half brewing also opening a space adjacent/inside there iirc

Went to that new McDonald's thing in Bolingbrook (CosMc's) today (35 minutes drive), when we got there we were told it's a minimum of 3 hours wait to order. We did a u-turn and got the hell out of there.

 

Tim Kasher (Cursive/The Good Life) is doing a live podcast taping and solo set out in Berwyn on 1/31. Might try and may make it work!

I went there for the first time last month and it was really good.

 

Does that mean the basement speakeasy thing is also closing or is that separate from Duseks?

 

Coming to Chicago for the first time ever for this show. Anyone recommend good pizza spots by Beat Kitchen? (also if you don’t have anything going on tonight please come out for Cybergrind Prom 2)

 

The Art of Pizza is somewhat close and incredible.

 

Beat Kitchen also has great food - one of my favorite places to play and eat.

That's a bummer, but not super surprising since it was sold. I was just reading about the former owner opening a new venue in Forest Park.

 

Do you know where in Forest Park. There was a cool venue on Berwyn that closed during COVID, that's the only thing I know about in that area.
