I will be moving back in August and will make this thread fun again.

 

My dog was not stoked because I was being a baby and didn't want to walk for very long. She be spoiled. Stoked for this weekend though- Kevin Devine at Ribfest on Saturday night and I've got a softball doubleheader on Sunday. Wacha all got going on?

 

Also moving back: Chris Coghlan! Welcome back fellas!

 

I will also be at Ribfest on Saturday. Maybe the Pilsen Food Truck Fest before that.

The Chicago Handshake: Old Style and Malort.

 

I fucking HATE Malort. Getting the taste just thinking about it. Blegh.

 

I don't mind it, but I definitely get why most people don't.

 

Count me in for a shot of Malört. I don't mind it. Definitely a hint of bug spray...

 

I'm personally a fan of Rolling Rock/well whiskey, but malort is always a nice character building experience.

 

Had Malört only for the first time when I was back in Chicago in May because it was a special on a Saturday night at my favorite bar lol. Don't dislike it as much as others do, think I'm just more partial to herbal liquors after drinking so much Unicum (harsher Jäger) in Hungary lol.

Does Flat Iron still do the $5 PBR/well whisky special on Fridays? Absolutely lethal lol.

 

Not being from Chicago and living here now for like six years, I'm down with ONE shot of malort. After that the person buying it can fuck right off haha.

 

They did when I was there in March. That night was a blur though so I could be wrong

 

Yeah every time I end up at Flat Iron it usually means I should have gone home a couple hours ago haha. Fun place though.

 

DAMMIT! I did not know Kevin Devine was at Rib Fest....missed it by a day. and it's RIGHT by my house, shit.

 

Gold Star on division had a chalkboard out front that said "come make your day worse with a shot of MALORT." Made me laugh pretty hard.

 

Barrel aged Belgium was SO good! Just had it about 3 weeks ago. Schnitzel was A+ too.

 

Anyone hitting up Taste of Randolph or Green Music Fest this weekend?
