Been seriously considering moving back to Chicago. NYC rent went wild. Would y'all say $2200 could get you a decent studio or 1br?

My last place in rosco village was a 2 bed room floor of a 3 flat and my wife and I paid $2150. It was super nice.

 

You definitely can for that price in most neighborhoods. Rent has gone up like everywhere else but nothing like other cities.

 

$2200 can get you a great spot in a great neighborhood here. My wife and I have a killer two bedroom+office+two parking spots in a two-flat that is just a few blocks from a blue line in Logan Square and we pay $2000. By far the most affordable big city i believe.

 

Thanks for the reassurance y'all! I used to be in a 3 bedroom near United Center and it was like 1600 back in 2015, but it was also hood as hell. Hoping I can get something that is at most a 30min walk to the lake.

I’d recommend checking out Edgewater. Tons of awesome ethnic food, easy commute downtown via the redline or 147 express bus, and as the name suggests- you’ll be right by the lake. $2200/mo will also get you a reaaalllly nice place.

Pitchfork Music Festival 2023 Lineup and Dates Announced

Pretty happy with the lineup, might try to go again this year. Heard a rumor D’Angelo was Sunday night headliner, but cancelled. Would’ve been my preference to BI, but each day still has a buncha acts I’d love to catch.

 

Love all the headliners, the undercard is a little soft for me personally but that may just bc I’m old as shit

 

MJ Lenderman on Saturday, nice! Wonder if that means they’re doing some national touring this summer
